Frameless sliding shower door on a stainless barn-style track

Sliding Shower Doors — Frameless Bypass Systems

A sliding door is the right answer whenever the bathroom cannot spare the floor space a swing door needs. The panels move along a track instead of into the room.

What a sliding shower door is

A sliding or bypass shower door uses a fixed panel plus one or more panels that roll horizontally on a top track. Barn-style hardware exposes a stainless rail and rollers for a deliberately architectural look; bypass systems hide the rollers inside a slim header. Both eliminate the door swing entirely, which is why they dominate tub-shower conversions and narrow guest bathrooms.

We build sliding systems in both barn-style (a single rolling panel over a fixed panel) and traditional bypass (two or three panels in a header track), in thicknesses from 1/4" up to 3/8" frameless glass.

Why customers choose EJ Glass for this

  • No swing clearance needed

Nothing arcs into the vanity, toilet or doorway — the biggest reason sliders win in compact bathrooms.

  • Wide openings

Panels can be sized so the open half gives a generous, comfortable entry.

  • Works over tubs

Sliding systems are the standard solution for tub-shower combinations where a hinged door will not seal.

  • Smooth, quiet hardware

Sealed stainless roller assemblies with soft-close options keep the panels gliding for years.
