A stationary panel — sometimes called a splash panel, screen or walk-in panel — is a single fixed pane that shields the rest of the bathroom without any door at all.
What a stationary panel is
A fixed panel of 3/8" or 1/2" tempered glass anchored with a U-channel, clamps or a floor-to-ceiling brace bar. Nothing moves. The shower stays open on one side, so the panel must be sized correctly against the shower head position and the depth of the wet area — that sizing is the whole job.
It is the minimalist option: no hinges, no rollers, no seals to replace. When the shower is deep enough to keep spray contained, this is the easiest enclosure to live with.
